Animated opener and lower thirds for live broadcast.

The challenge for creating the opener was coming up with the concept. The event itself doesn’t mesh with the typical flashy sci-fi sports opener. But there is a lot of history there. So I decided to take the game back to its roots.

I remembered curling on a pond near my grandfather’s house when I was younger, and I wanted to re-create that feeling. Just a few families getting together and having a great time outdoors.

The music, with its celtic flair, lends itself to the heritage while still keeping the energy high for the event.
